Harkers Island Bridge Project

Replacement of two ageing bridges as part of an initiative by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). The new bridge increases capacity for emergency access and evacuation, reduces congestion for marine vessels and vehicular traffic, and provides a direct path for drivers travelling between the mainland and Harkers Island.
